18 April 2004FEMALE HOST: Not too long ago Hanson was on our program and they sang that acoustically and I predicted it would be huge. And it was!
MALE HOST: And you're right, cos welcome back, look who's here! Hanson are on the streets of Manhattan, joining us this morning live, and it is such a pleasure to see that success because we were sort of at the beginning of it the last time.
FEMALE HOST: It's all because of us!
TAYLOR: It is, you guys actually wrote part of that song, didn't you?
FEMALE HOST: I didn't want you to tell!
ZAC: You actually took that song and you brought it to us and I never knew…
FEMALE HOST: Yeah, and I was going to talk to you about the money!
TAYLOR: You'll get your check soon.
MALE HOST: You're going to get a penny!
TAYLOR: Ooh, he's a comedian.
MALE HOST: Not really.
FEMALE HOST: Well welcome back guys!
TAYLOR: Yeah, thanks so much.
FEMALE HOST: And once again, give us the names. I always mess this up.
ISAAC: Isaac.
TAYLOR: Taylor.
ZAC: Zac.
FEMALE HOST: Okay. Now the youngest one, Zac, you're the youngest one, you do the drums.
ZAC: Yes.
FEMALE HOST: I'm taking drum lessons so we have to talk afterwards.
ZAC: Hey, very nice.
FEMALE HOST: Yeah, it's kind of pathetic, but anyways.
MALE HOST: Can she jam with you guys?
TAYLOR: We already did, like we said, we wrote a song together…
FEMALE HOST: Yeah, pay attention.
MALE HOST: Are you going to be involved in this huge concert that they're going to be simulcasting at Regal Cinemas all around the country this week?
FEMALE HOST: Uh, yeah! You guys never told me about that!
TAYLOR: You gotta get on the inside track. Last time we were here, we were playing at Carnegie Hall, I think. Right after that we went and played a show in Chicago and filmed it, just to sort of document the acoustic tour we were doing, and so now it's going to be simulcasting at in Regal Cinemas all across the country. People can go in the theaters and check it out on Monday.
ZAC: Hi-definition, surround sound.
TAYLOR: It's really pretty incredible.
ISAAC: It's really cool.
MALE HOST: Is it kind of frightening having hi-definition that big?
TAYLOR: We actually have an inch of makeup on right now, so…
FEMALE HOST: Join the club.
ISAAC: … so hopefully you don't have a bad day on the hi-definition shoot.
FEMALE HOST: You guys are really still young enough to have the…
TAYLOR: Well, it's really just after not sleeping for about 48 hours like we did these last couple days…
FEMALE HOST: ooh, whiners!
TAYLOR: Yeah, those are the kinds of things where you don't want to do a hi-definition shoot right after that, you get the bags hanging down…
FEMALE HOST: But you don't have a problem coming to Fox & Friends…
ISAAC: Absolutely not!
MALE HOST: They haven't been to bed yet.
TAYLOR: We don't actually sleep, we just kind of exist.
MALE HOST: This is how grown ups they are… Taylor is a father! We learned that you were gonna be last time I think.
TAYLOR: No, I had not been one for long. But I've got a little baby.
FEMALE HOST: How's it going?
TAYLOR: Oh, it's awesome.
FEMALE HOST: Are you guys brought into the whole fold, are you changing diapers?
TAYLOR: Unfortunately, yes.
ISAAC: We're close but not that close! No, I've changed plenty of diapers in my day as big brother. I'm done with that. I just pass it off to Tay.
FEMALE HOST: How much older are you?
ISAAC: I'm three years older.
TAYLOR: We have a lot of siblings below us too.
ISAAC: Yeah, there's a few more kids in the family, so the younger ones I had my chance.
MALE HOST: So there's a Menudo addition of Hanson that can come along at some point?
ALL: No [laughs]
MALE HOST: Speaking of moving on, do you guys have to perform some of the early stuff when you go out?
ZAC: Well, I mean, we love to though. We play songs from Middle of Nowhere and we play songs from This Time Around and we play songs from the new record. It's sort of… you just mix it up.
TAYLOR: Well, it's what you did then and what you do now. Hopefully in five to six years we'll still be into playing the songs we do now. You're never putting out anything that you're not proud of, so.
FEMALE HOST: Now your songs have matured a lot, are you getting an older audience now as well as the young guys?
ISAAC: Well I think what it is, one of the things we're really noticing is the fans are growing up with you; you know, you got somebody who was 14 back in the day and they've grown up… well, you know, you're 40, you just grew since we saw you last.
MALE HOST: Will you come back the next time you're in town and you have an album and a big concert?
TAYLOR: Absolutely.
MALE HOST: Until then, go to a Regal Cinema near you this week and see them simulcast.
TAYLOR: And on Tuesday the album comes out.
FEMALE HOST: And the album comes out on Tuesday?
TAYLOR: Yeah, it does.
FEMALE HOST: All right, go to the music stores and get it. Hanson, thanks guys very much.
