RABBIT: Yes, this fellow here was 11 years old when "MMMBop" came out. Now 18, the littlest of the Hanson brothers joins me on the line, hello Zac!

ZAC: Hello! How are you doing?

RABBIT: All right, and where are you and what are you doing?

ZAC: Oklahoma in the middle of the United States. I'm out on a ranch with a studio and a bunch of artists and musicians and we're just making music.

RABBIT: And bull riding!

ZAC: No! bull riding

RABBIT: What?! You're on a ranch!

ZAC: We'll leave that to the rodeos.

RABBIT: But you're on a ranch!

ZAC: Not a classic ranch with necessarily cattle. More of a secluded home of someone's in the middle of Oklahoma.

RABBIT: Who's house is it Zac?

ZAC: Oh it's a secret! RABBIT: Come on!

ZAC: It's a third cousin of my bother's sister's monkey's cousin's uncle!

RABBIT: You mean Tom!

ZAC: Tom! Yes!

RABBIT: Why didn't you just say so?!

ZAC: I didn't know you knew Tom!

RABBIT: Yeah we go way back! I know the monkey!

ZAC: (laughs) YOU DO!?

RABBIT: Yeah, yeah! The monkey! We're really good friends! The monkeys there, fantastic. How about we stop being silly and we talk about your music in a little bit?

ZAC: Yeah of course!

RABBIT: Okay, let me play a couple of songs.

RABBIT: Zac from Hanson is on the line, Nikki Syxx from Motley Crue I just read this, Zac, it says "Hanson has reinvented themselves by taking control of their music." That's pretty cool!

ZAC: He's a talented musician and it's a really cool thing to get support from somebody like him.

RABBIT: You guys have launched your own label, signed yourselves!

ZAC: Yes we signed ourselves with our label! It was kind of a difficult process. I got a terrible deal; I negotiated myself with all of my rights.

RABBIT: What's your record company like? Tell me about them, do they make you do stuff that you don't want to do?

ZAC: You know, no one can make me do anything because I'm the boss of myself!

RABBIT: Say what, signing up your own record label, not many people would want to take that side of it on, but let's face it, you guys are overachievers.

ZAC: Haha something like that, we're teachers pets!

RABBIT: Tell us about the new album, what kind of songs are people going to find on this one?

ZAC: It's just Hanson now, it's probably the most acoustic record we've released yet. I think it has some sides to the band people haven't seen until this album.

RABBIT: Is there an "MMMBop" part 2?

ZAC: No there's not!

RABBIT: I thought you would want to expand on it.

ZAC: We started doing some pa'ing and some weeing and now there's a song called "Swizzle."

RABBIT: "Swizzle!"

ZAC: It's with Puff Daddy and Snoop Dogg and the chorus goes "for swizzle my nizzle in the jizzle dizzle gizzle jizzle dizzle nizzle."

RABBIT: For shizzle nizzle!

ZAC: It's pretty hard to pronounce and I still don't know what it means.

RABBIT: You should change the name Hanson to Hizzle

ZAC: (laughs)

RABBIT: The new single from Hizzle on in just a sec.

RABBIT: My god, can you believe it was seven years ago when we were MMMBopping along with Isaac, Taylor, and Zac, who is now 18, he's on the line, and what's up with your brother, with Taylor's Jon Bon Jovi hairdo he's got now?

ZAC: Well it's just gotten longer; I guess he kind of represents the 80's. Somebody's gotta be out there representing the 80's.

RABBIT: And it has to be your brother!

ZAC: If he's going to do it then I'll support him doing it.

RABBIT: How's family life seem to be going for Taylor?

ZAC: Seems to be going pretty good, he's got a two year old and a wife.

RABBIT: Two years old, good god he's going to…

ZAC: Sounds like we've been beamed up by the space ship.

RECORDING: "This interview has been scheduled to be disconnected in five minutes."

ZAC: Five minutes?! But we need more time!

RABBIT: We're going to be terminated in five minutes!

ZAC: I feel like the bomb is about to be dropped on us.

RABBIT: I know! It's good of them to give us a warning though you know.

ZAC: That was sweet of them; you know the sirens are going off, it's all over, the nuclear Holocaust is about to happen.

RABBIT: I love how they come on and give us a warning that the interview's nearly over, and then we talk about how the interview is nearly over

ZAC: Hey that's great! That's the radio for ya!

RABBIT: Hey, congratulations on the new album!

ZAC: Thank you very much.

RABBIT: And the new record label and all your success and we'll catch up with you when you're here again.

ZAC: Hey, thanks a lot.

RABBIT: Hey, just intro the song before you go?

ZAC: Yeah, of course!

RABBIT: Away you go!

ZAC: Hey, this is Zac from Hanson and you're listening to Rabbit on Nova 96.9. Here's our new single, "Penny & Me."
