DJ: Guys, you had your major breakthrough in 97 with Middle of Nowhere, then you released This Time Around and then you disappeared and what have you been doing in the gap?

TAYLOR: We sound like the woolly mammoth or something. We practically disappeared into the darkness.

ISAAC: It was the Ice Age, we fell into the ice. We were frozen and now we have thawed!

ZAC: We are thawed and… ha… never mind.

TAYLOR: You know, mostly we've just been making music. You know, a lot of things happened in the last four years. One thing is we started our own record company... we did a lot of writing, a lot of creating...

ZAC: That was part of the reason why... that... something that took time, you know forming a company, staffing, and all that stuff that's involved in that. In addition to that we wrote about 80 songs for this record and recorded about 50, so that takes time too, so it's just a process of making a record. We never stopped making music; we were just behind the scenes working on other things.

ISAAC: Yeah, exactly, and we did a lot of touring in the United States also. We're actually excited because, we haven't announced the exact tour dates yet, but we are going to be touring in Europe very soon, in the next several months. I'm sure we'll be coming through Denmark also.

DJ: So you didn't make kind of a Motley Crue, you know... with cocaine, and ladies, and booze...

ISAAC: Oh no! Cocaine, ladies, and booze does happen, it's just behind the scenes.

ZAC: Behind the scenes, yeah…

ISAAC: I prefer tobacco and whiskey myself, so...

DJ: Well despite the fact that you kinda disappeared here in Denmark a lot of fans still remember you actually and a lot of them are here in the studio today. Did you expect, you know, in three years that your fans would remember you?

TAYLOR: Well, we're glad they don't have Alzheimer's so they forget. They have pretty good memories. I mean they... our fans have always been amazing and they've always been very active, always trying to find out what's going on, keeping in touch. We've tried to, as much as we can, keep that alive by trying to give them information, trying to tell them what's going on when we're working and recording... and now being in a position where we own all the music we can control the time a lot more. We won't leave three years in between albums.

DJ: And a lot of fans, apart from here in the studio actually remember you. We had a competition here on our show where a fan could win a two minute chat with you and Isaac, you have the phone number in your hand...

ISAAC: Yes, I do.

DJ: ...and this person does not know you are calling so go for it and say "hi." You have two minutes.

ISAAC: Okay... very good. Here we go.

TAYLOR: The clock is ticking...

ISAAC: Here we go...

MYA: *screams* Sorry about that.

ZAC: That sounded like a car wreck.

MYA: No, that was just some of my class mates. They were listening on the radio. Sorry.

ISAAC: Oh, okay. Are you in school?

MYA: Yeah I am. It's school break right now.

ISAAC: Oh, okay.

MYA: First of all I want to say that your new album is really great and its been a pleasure for me following your development over the years.

ISAAC: Cool, so you've been able to hear the new music obviously.

MYA: Yeah and I want to say one other thing, your music, it has helped me so much in the hardest time of my life, it really has. When my grandfather, he got cancer and died I listened to This Time Around all the time.

Hanson: Wow.

MYA: I really did. It helped me so much, so thank you.

TAYLOR: Well that's what it's all about. That's really, really cool.

ZAC: That's amazing.

ISAAC: That's really cool that you feel that way because I feel that way about a lot of other music and music that has been there me in my life, so to be that for someone else is very cool. It's an honor, so we appreciate that.

MYA: It's not just because you're my idols or something, your music, it helps me very much.

ISAAC: Well I'm glad. That's cool.

MYA: So I have three questions...

TAYLOR: You are prepared, my god.

ZAC: Go for it.

MYA: Yeah, but they told me to be!

TAYLOR: Of course, of course, no, that's good.

MYA: So Isaac I heard some rumors that one of the songs on the new CD is dedicated to a fan. I don't know if it's true... I heard...

ZAC: Well all the songs are dedicated to fans…

ISAAC: Well, you know... at the end of the day we very much appreciate the fans and how much they've been around and continue to be loyal and communicate with us, but there was a rumor that the song "Deeper" was about a fan. The song is not actually about a fan although...

*A loud fog horn goes off*

ZAC: What the?

TAYLOR: What is that?

ISAAC: That was the two minutes

DJ: Actually, that was the two minutes, but just...

TAYLOR: You're not going to cut her off she's talking about...

DJ: We'll extend for a minute or so.

ISAAC: Okay, okay.

TAYLOR: Ignore the fog horn.

ISAAC: So it's not exactly about a fan, it's just...

MYA: Okay, okay! I'm sorry. I want to ask the two other guys something as well.

ISAAC: Okay, okay, go.

MYA: Taylor, being a dad and a husband, doesn't it make it harder for you to travel away on tours?

TAYLOR: You know, it does make it harder to leave because before you're kinda like "well, whenever we get home is fine" but home actually means something different. But it's also fun when they get to travel with us.

MYA: Oh, cool... and bringing them along as well.

TAYLOR: Of course.

MYA: And I want to ask Zac, where are you sleeping tonight?

* laughs & claps*

ZAC: Wow.

MYA: I live in (some city I can't understand) where you're performing tonight, so you can call me if you want to go out.

ZAC: Well at least she's not presumptuous.

ISAAC: Hey Zac, man, she's persistent.

TAYLOR: She's got her act together.

ZAC: I appreciate the offer.

MYA: I know you have a girlfriend, but... just wondering.

ZAC: What? We're in Denmark? We're in Denmark! Come on!

ISAAC: She wants to be your Danish girlfriend.

ZAC: Ahh.

DJ: We'll stop the time for a minute. We actually don't know what this girl's name is. What's your name?

MYA: Mya.

DJ: Okay! *starts talking in Danish*

MYA: So yeah. I'm hoping to see you tonight or else I'll just see you on TV.

TAYLOR: Or you'll just see Zac.

ZAC: Wow.

*The DJ and Mya start talking in Danish. Mya and her friends scream some more.*

DJ: Hanson, thank you very much for coming.

ISAAC: You're welcome.

ZAC: Every time we come it sounds like a horror film. Everyone's like "Grrrhhhh!"
