London, England
19 January 2005MIQUITA: Pop gods Hanson are here.
TAYLOR: Pop gods…
ZAC: I've never been called a god before.
SIMON: You are gods to us.
MIQUITA: You're about to be called so much more... This is uh...
ZAC: Yikes.
SIMON: This is a huge moment for us.
ZAC: Well it's a huge moment for us too, I think we're been waiting our whole lives to be on this show.
TAYLOR: Yea.
ISAAC: Yea, exactly.
SIMON: Don't you be sarcastic with us.
MIQUITA: Don't joke with me Zac.
SIMON: This is genuine for us.
MIQUITA: This is big.
SIMON: We wanted you, okay. We wanted you sexually. And I don't want you to feel awkward about that. Actually, we just wanted one of you. And we wont', we won't say which one, cos that would be embarrassing. But just so you know...
TAYLOR: It could be embarrassing, yeah.
SIMON: Do you want to touch one of them?
MIQUITA: I would.
TAYLOR: We actually already touched before we got on the stage.
SIMON: Let's have some more touching
*Isaac gets on his knee and kisses Maquita's hand*
MIQUITA: Hey, hey.
ISAAC: Hello, it's nice to meet you.
SIMON: Oh my goodness, okay, it wasn't you.
MIQUITA: Thank you Isaac, that was, that was a big moment for me. Now let's talk. Now, Taylor's married.
TAYLOR: Yes, yes.
MIQUITA: With a child!
TAYLOR: Mmhm, yeah.
SIMON: Is it true you married a fan?
ZAC: His wife wasn't the, the head of the fan club, so it wasn't anything like that.
MIQUITA: It wasn't like backstage at a show, sort of like, "oh my gosh."
TAYLOR: I did meet her backstage at a show, but it was a little more complicated that. We probably don't have enough time on the show.
MIQUITA: Well done her.
SIMON: Yeah... yeah, let's not pretend that we don't hate her.
SIMON: Any plans for a divorce?
TAYLOR: you know, so far we're fine. But, you know, you never know what could happen.
MIQUITA: Yeah.
SIMON: Just a trial separation, maybe. Maybe that's an idea.
ISAAC: Yea, I'm not sure she'd be cool with that though. I could speak for her since she's not here.
TAYLOR: Yea, she's pretty tough actually.
MIQUITA: Really?
SIMON: I could take her.
TAYLOR: She can, she could, she can scrap you know.
SIMON: Zac, when you were around last time, I think you were barely pubic. Have you... uh... I mean...
ZAC: Well...
TAYLOR: Well you're almost pubic now right?
SIMON: I'm almost there.
ZAC: He's getting there.
ISAAC: Yea.
TAYLOR: Yea, you're getting close.
ZAC: When is your voice gonna start dropping?
MIQUITA: Don't, he's such a fan. He won't be able to take it.
SIMON: I know, I won't, I'll cry tonight.
ZAC: Ahh...
TAYLOR: We're just; we're just going with it.
ZAC: No, I, I was pubic already.
SIMON: Okay, all right then.
MIQUITA: I heard that you drive something called a "Shagging Wagon?"
ZAC: I have a car that's a 1986 Ford Econoline van. Those have a seat in the back that reclines into a van, into a bed sorry.
SIMON: I don't wanna hear this.
MIQUITA: I can't hear this!
ZAC: I have like, sheepskin on all the seats.
SIMON: No, noo...
ZAC: And it's got, it's got, two 15 in--
SIMON: Stop it you're only 12!
ZAC: ...two 15-inch subwoofers in the back.
SIMON: This is upsetting me, this whole thing.
MIQUITA: Do you take women back to this car?
SIMON: Stop it, stop it, let's have a look at the video.
MIQUITA: Okay, this is Hanson. They are SO bad! This is "Penny & Me."
*
MIQUITA: Uhh...
SIMON: *sighs* Still got it!
TAYLOR: Ahh..
SIMON: Wooooh!
SIMON: Now, we'd love to just keep fawning, but I think we should tackle the serious issues as well.
TAYLOR: We're, we're...
ISAAC: Right, we're there.
SIMON: Do you think fame has affected you?
TAYLOR: I think, I think being famous, or, and traveling the world, and having fans and all those things… I mean, without a doubt, it, I mean it changes things a little bit.
ISAAC: Yeah.
TAYLOR: It makes for life experiences that most people never have.
MIQUITA: Cos it wasn't just like America and Britain, I mean, I had the Hanson video, and you went to Japan and stuff and all over there and it was just absolutely manic.
SIMON: What, you're showing off that you have the video?
SIMON: Are you trying to make them like you more?
TAYLOR: Uh hahhaha..
SIMON: I had, I had the album.
MIQUITA: Yeah, but...
SIMON: And I played their songs on the guitar.
MIQUITA: Yeah, but I had the video.
TAYLOR: Do you play guitar?
SIMON: Well I learned...
MIQUITA: He can play "MMMBop!"
SIMON: I learned Hanson songs as my first songs to learn.
TAYLOR: Cool.
SIMON: Because they've only got 3 chords, most of them... And...
TAYLOR: Well actually… that's, that's definitely true about "MMMBop." But "Penny & Me" has a lot more than 3 chords, so you're gonna have to get working.
SIMON: How many, how many?
TAYLOR: Well, I have to count, it's probably...
ISAAC: It's probably 12.
TAYLOR: Yeah, I mean, it's quite a few chords.
MIQUITA: Oh my god...
SIMON: Okay, thank you all very much...
ALL: Thank you.
MIQUITA: This has been great!
SIMON: Whooooooooooo!
ZAC: Has it been good for you, cos it's been good for me.
MIQUITA: It's been so good! Isaac, high five!
ISAAC: All right.
MIQUITA: Taylor…
TAYLOR: Yes, high five, high five.
ZAC: I'm low five. Always a fan of the bottom, being on the bottom.
MIQUITA: I just wanted to touch you all again.
SIMON: We'll just all hug afterwards…
