"'The Moment of Truth' is one in which artists realize they do not have the star making machinery working for them. In order to sustain a career, artists must assume control of their work and choose partners wisely. In the time of uncertainty, the only thing certain is their talent. Our group of veterans have done it all and have had everything done to them, yet still manage to sustain a successful career through the chaos, while keeping their sanity and humor intact."

"Rock journalism was born in the most benign way: in 1957 via a New York City teen idol magazine. An ambitious former model named Gloria Stavers rose through its editorial rank and steered the magazine from the Elvis era in the 50s through the British Invasion of the 60s and the American re-capture of the 70s. Before 16 passed on in 2001, it blazed the trail for every rock publication to follow, especially when it gave the thumbs up in 1967 to a fledgling publication called Rolling Stone."
