December 15 | Hanson's video for "Save Me" was exclusively released on launch.com. The guys co-directed the video with their good friend Ashley Greyson. The video uses a technique called rotoscoping, which is a process in which an artist traces an image from a film frame so that the movements on the film can be used in other media. The 1985 music video for A-Ha's "Take On Me" is another example the technique. The video took several weeks to edit on laptop computers, 70 hours to add rotoscoping effects, and in the end cost $20 to create. |
